I sent a letter to buffalo on 15 Sep 2005 informing them about my address change. At the same time I also inquired about my application status. I received a letter on 25 Sep 2005 stating that "Your application has been placed in line for a final review".
My medicals will expire on Jan 2006. Will I get my PP request by then? or should I inform them about my medical expiry date?
Here is my timeline:
Submitted: March 2004
AOR: April 2004
IA: November 2004
Medicals + Docs: January 2005

Hi Narmi,
Since your medicals expire in Jan 2006, they would either contact you soon and ask you to land in Canada before Jan 2006 ( before ur medical expiration date ). If not, they will ask you to do the medical again and then go from there.

No one knows for sure what will happen but I feel that you should get passport request in early 2006.

I have also read a lot of cases wherein the validity of their medicals was extended.

Do you think that my BG check is complete and am I all set?
I forgot to mention that the letter also stated "the process could take upto 3 months and you will be notified once all formalities have been completed".
So I do not know at what stage I am stuck.

3 months...so that would be December...or at least early 2006....if you won´t mind spending US$30 why don´t you request for caips notes to be sure about your bg check and what stage you are in...

hey Narmi,
I have a spousal sponsorship case that is being processed through Buffalo, and I e-mailed them as well and received a similiar response..
"File is pending final eview by Officer and ROLF (Right of Landing) fees. Payment must be made in Canada at CPC Missisauga office."
This response was received in blue text..
