My wife is sponsoring me, and we are a little confused about the income requirement, and if i need to co-sign. My wife has been on maternity leave for 6 months now. So she has only been making half of her full income. Can someone please shed some light on this for us. Thank you.

There is no minimum income requirement if your spouse is sponsoring you.

Read the guide available http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3900E.pdf page 7

"You may be eligible to sponsor if:

....you have an income that is at least equal to the minimum necessary income, the amount of which is published yearly by the Canadian government.

This condition does not apply if you are sponsoring only
? your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner who has no dependent children

........"
