Congrats! I´m so jealous you´re making money while waiting for your PR :) It might be a good idea yes. You could fax them a copy of your work permit just to let them know you haven´t lost your status in Canada.

Hi DB,

I currently work for the Alberta Government while waiting for the PR. I´ll have to renew my workpermit for the second year of post graduation employment in Jan-Feb. In addition to the documents listed in the checklist, did you attach any other documents?

Do you have any tips regarding the application?

Thanks,

Mircea

except employer letter which is required, I add income tax return for 2004, and my employee group RRSP, which held in mutual fund format, that´s it

come on Candice, I believe you can use post-secondary for 2 years, go and get one, it´s not so hard to apply.

did you have to include again proof of your education in Canada, or by indicating your clint number they matched information you sent one year ago when you applied for the first time with the current application?

Thanks

Mircea

DB: Im going to beat you with a stick! I cant apply for a 2nd year work permit. I would if I could. I live in Toronto and if you live in Toronto, your post-grad work permit is valid for only ONE year. You cannot renew it. You cannot work for more than one year! IT SUCKS !!!!

mircea, yep, you have to copy your previous work permit, all passport pages, just follow the checklist, there is no mysterous in it, pretty straight foward.

Hey, Candice, can you just go somewhere else and work instead of staying Toronto? but anyway, wish our IA coming soon

Hi Mircea (in reply to: received second year post-secondary work permit)

Hi Mircea,
I am in a similar situation as your´s. When is your AOR? I am working in Ontario on a 2-year post-graduation work permit. I plan on sending a letter soon to get points for arranged employment because I think I qualify. I had several questions for you. Did you apply as a regular skilled worker as well? What did you use as your work experience? Did you get a request for IELTS results around August 2005? Hope we can get in touch.

Joy
Applied from within Canada: Feb 2005
AOR: Mar 2005
IELTS request: Aug 2005
Expecting IA: anywhere from Dec 2005 to Feb 2006
