Hey sharon, how often DOES it snow in Van? I´m moving to the Sunshine coast.

well, last year I think it was once and we got a grand total of about 2 inches (5cm). Year before I think 2 times and one dump was enough to close school.
I must tell you, in Vancouver if you get 2 inches... the world stops. It is wet snow and very slippery. Driving is the pits. That said... we have a more serious problem - nobody knows how to drive in it.
We can expect 2-3 weeks of below freezing weather.
Rain is another story. We generally anticipate rain from February until March. Any day that is dry... we cheer.
