Most visa offices will send out a PPR request that states near the bottom that they need to be notified in writing of any changes in composition, and could risk your permanent resident visa becoming void at the port of entry. You will need to kindly write the department a letter stating that your non-accompanying dependent will be joining you in Canada. There will be no need to return the actual PPR letter back to the embassy, since this is just a formal print-out of information on their system.

If your daughter did not undergo the medical exam she will need to go for one, as well as the police certificates (depending on the age). I would bank on 3-4 months longer if not more if YOUR medicals or your WIFE´s medicals will expire before they finalize the changes.

can I ask a stupid question?

why would you want to immigrate to anther country and leave your daughter behind? did you have the mother of this girl on the application?

I am not being rude or angry... I REALLY want to understand.

I would say...it´s a MAYBE....

*maybe something happened while they process the papers of their daughter?
*maybe financial reasons?
*maybe some legal issues here & there?
*maybe its an agency´s negledience/error (finding it out
too late after receiveing PPR that their daughter was not included in the application?)

*maybe family problem...we dont know...

If I can help....

If your visa´s expiry date is too soon,

1. The sooner you make a letter to the embassy is one of your option. Inform them that you´ll be adding another dependent.

2. Leaving your daughter just because you are after the visa is totally not recommended (child is most important)

3.You can request for an extension of visa after expiry date of your wife while you process your daughter´s & then you fly alone since you are the principal applicant (anyay i think it won´t take that long).. or extension including yours..

4. You can apply for a visitor´s visa for you child since no more interview/medical needed. Then proceed to follow-up her application even if you´re in Canada already..

Hope i do make sense!

Goodluck!
