Subject: Submit more documents after Interview by Spouse
  Hi All,
I am a new addition to this discussion gp. I wish I had known and checked it out earlier because there are a number of very useful information here.

My situation is that I am naturalized Canadian citizen, previously divorced and in my early 40s and my wife whom I communicated with only by emails/phone for 4 months before getting married is 39 and was previously never married. I have been divorced for 6yrs after being married for 7 yrs. My wife was recently interviewed in the Chandigarh, India office and was told after the interview that the interviewer was not totally satisfied with her interview and asked her to submit the copies of our prior to marriage email communication and was also told to ask me to fax a copy of my divorce petition (although I had originally submitted it to Mississauga office)within 30 days. We both submitted the required documents the very next day. It has now been 20 days and we have not heard anything. My question is that if anyone here has similar or close to it experience and if these requests were just a sham and that they would eventually reject her application. I am very worried because it has now been 5 months since we started this process and the interviewer seemed to be hung up on the fact that why would a "never married" woman marry a "divorcee" in india.
Any input will be appreciated.

I meant to say the interviewer seemed to feel that a "never married" woman from India would only marry a "divorcee" for non-genuine purpose because divorces are not easily acceptable in India. But sometimes things happen in marriages beyond any one´s control.

I felt sorry to hear your situation and i think marrying someone is entirely one´s own choice unless no pressure is created on both sides.
My situation is almost close to you. My wife (candian citizen and sponsor) was divorced by her ex-husband in 2002 and I got married with him end of 2004. My case started from June 2005 in Singapore. At the initial stage my wife came to know that her past divorce was not done according to canandian law. So i can not considered as her spouse. My wife did not have enough knowledge about validity of divorce between 2 citizen. In september, I had to resubmit additional docs to prove that I met at least conjugal category. Meanwhile we had a baby 2 months ago and we also provided his information to singapore cic. To my calculation i am supposed to get refused as the time requirements is not met at the time of application submission under conjugal category. Now i am waiting for the final decision.
