| Subject: Notarize documents for proving relationship |

Hi, everyone. I´m sponsoring my wife to come to Canada. I have a question regarding whether some of the evidence documents for proving relationship need to be translated and notarized. Our marriage certificate is of course translated and notarized.
But for other things, I´m planning to send some of our emails, SMS message logs from web and instant messaging logs. I printed them out here. Unforturnately, most of them are in Chinese with little english since I communicate with her in Chinese mostly. I´m wondering if I need to get every words translated and everything notarized. I do plan to write notes myself, explain what they´re and attach to each piece of evidence.
The email printouts are from english web site(eg. mail.yahoo.com) and they do show the correct From & To addresses. The SMS message logs are also printouts from english web site and they show the correct destination phone number(ie. her cell phone number). The instant messaging logs have some english sentences but contain mostly chinese. Do you think they´re sufficient or I need to get all the content translated and notarized?
There are also other evidence documents I´m wondering about. eg. Original receipts in chinese with amounts, my wife´s cell phone calling record printout(she just circled the oversea number. The log itself has lots of Chinese characters on it). Is it sufficient if I just write a note in english myself and explain what they´re about?
Are Visa officers sensitive about these things?

Let common sense be your guide. You should assume the visa officer will not speak Chinese and provide documents accordingly. Good luck.
