Subject: Got CAIPS in under one month time
I requested CAIPS notes on October 26, 2005, and was quite surprised to receive the response today. BF´d date is 31-12-2005, RCMP clearance was received in September (fingerprints done in April 05).

My timeline:
Applied as SW to Buffalo in July 04
AOR August 04
IA April 05
Medicals, TEF, IELTS, fingerprints done from April to June 05.
e-CAS status still says "In process"

Currently in Canada on work permit.

Have you send request of CAIPS by yourself or with any agency? Have you courier your IMM for to CIC?

I sent them a fax by myself. Don´t see a point of paying an agency when I can do it for free.

I don´t think I understood your second question.

Max,

As u said, u r working in Canada, that?s why u able to fax your IMM form to CIC. I thought you mailed (by post) you request.

So my second question not relevant. I ordered my CAIPs notes using caipshelp.com site. They asked me use courier service to get CAIPs more expedite way.

In which format u received there response Email or Fax?
In which sector u r working? This question is regarding Job market situation in Canada

Hi zzzzz,

I see what you are saying now. Yes, I sent them a fax, just the form without any cover sheets or anything. This is the second time I am doing this this year.

Each time, I received a package in the mail with the cover from one of the public service officials along with about 10 pages of my records. Most of them have the same info. They also included a form to use in case I want to amend any records. This time, they also included an extract from the Privacy act stating the reasons why an officer may refuse to disclose some of the info. I guess this was to explain why some of my wife´s records were whited out.

I work in the foreign exchange trading industry, which, in my opinion, has very little to do with the general job market situation in Canada. My general impression, however, is that the job market is improving.

I did not pay the $5. Inquiries about your own case under the Privacy Act are free.

I found the fax number on one of the posts on this forum. I think it is 613-957-6517, I just searched through the forums again.

The form is located at:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563B.pdf

I just sent the second page.
