Hey John it seems that we have almost started our application at the same time so I would like to share my experience with you if you do not mind..
1. Where are you applying from ?
I am applying from Bulgaria and this is my history:
APP: March 2004
AOP: June 2004
IA: April 2005 (They also asked me to complete my police certificates from Australia where I lived as a student and to do my daughters medicals although I was not thinking of taking her with me and IT TOOK THEM 8 MONTHS TO SEND ME A DOCUMENT FOR MY DAUGHTER
TO THE DOCT)
APRIL 2005: Done DOC and MED for myself.
AUGUST 2005: Provided them the police certificate from Australia
NOVEMBER 2005: received the DOC papers for my daughter and it is done.
NOVEMBER 2005: I have informed them that now I want to take my daughter with me to Canada and sent them the required papers (her ID, passport, application fee etc. She is below 18 no security is required..
NOW waiting.....

Hi-Curious about Bulgaria (in reply to: To John)
Hi friend,
I was goinf through the processing time for Bulgaria. I found out that your Processing centre would be Bucharest , Romania. The CIC website says the processing time minimum is 49 months at Bucharest. So how come you got the IA so quickly ? It is kinda weird how CIC works

well mate becasue I wan in Romania and working there, and I also got education in australia, and long enough experience, and good luck as well I guess, what about you?
