Subject: Help !!!!
Hi all I applied for immigration from iran but didnt want my wife to join me to Canada that time in 2003 becasue of her job contract in our counrty, (was thinking of sponsoring her later). And everything worked well and we both have done medicals and no interview was required (I guesss) since they sent us to doctors...or not?????? but now we want to go to canada together, do you think if I tell them that I now want to take my wife to Canada, and send all her documents, will this make our case complicated ? or difficult ? any ideas ?

if you have always indicated on your application that you are married, I think you are free to add her to your application. It might a little bit of time to your total process but nobody can say that for sure.

Most imporant is that you do what is necessary and best for your family.

Hi Curiousmale,

Just write a letter to the Canadian embassy and let them know that you want your wife to accompany you to Canada.

I believe you must have sent all the forms of your wife when you submitted the application. If you did not you can send all that now including police clearance, education documents (you can get additional points for your wife´s education now as she is accompanying you). You will also have to pay the processing fee if you have not done that already.

It is a simple process and should not complicate your case.

I had excatly the same case, and what happend is that they proposed to me at the time of the Visa to include my wife and kids, and I agreed and I got the visas and landed.

In fact, all background checks and medicals are done for the whole family even if they are not going with you, so mothing to stop them from accepting this request (except quota).

Send thema aletter and see what they will do.

Good Luck

agreed with Saleh, not a lot of delay would be expected in this situation, a month or two at most (if they require you to send some additional documents and the RPRF ..etc)
