| Subject: Do I have to apply again if I move to canada now? |
I am in the US now and waiting for my IA. I am going to canada soon as I got a job there. Somebody told me that I have to start the application process over. I have already spent 1 year in the process and do not want to do it again. Is it true? please let me know. Thanks.

No you will not have to apply again. But if you are called for an interview you will have to go to USA and getting a US visa is your responsibility.
As a matter of fact people who live in Canada and want to apply to immigrate to Canada as a Skilled worker have to submit their application in Buffalo, USA.

what sort of job are you thinking? you must be officially landed (have your PR) or be in Canada on a HRDC approved work permit inorder to work.
If you have a job offer, it gets included in your current application. It does not entitle you to cross into Canada to work prior to PR and it may or may not speed things up. Hard to tell what makes things go faster or slower these days with Buffalo.

I have a post doc job offer which does not require HRDC approval. I was still a student when I applied for canadian PR so obviously I did not have a job offer then. I am relieved that I do not have to apply again.
If I get PR after I land in Canada, I wonder how do I land again? Do I have to fly out of canada and enter again just for the sake of landing?

If and when you get PR just go to the nearest Canada/US border. Just cross over to US and then come back to Canada immediately to complete the landing procedure and become a PR.

Folks,
I take this moment to pay our tribute to people like Kenny , Sharon and many who genuinely work hard to answer the querries of poor potenital immigrants to Canada. I think it will be an honour to live in Canada with people like Kenny Sharon etc.
