Subject: SW employment status at interview time |

Hi All,
Applied (U.S. citizen) as SW category in Nov. 2004 to Buffalo. Got AOR in March 2005 and am waiting for IA. Currently have a skilled worker category job in U.S. (Information Technology).
I´d like to resign my current job now, take time off, wait out the IA and PR, then move to Canada. I´d also use the time to look for a job in Canada. My question: Is being unemployed in one´s SW category at the time of the interview viewed negatively or doesn´t matter in the eyes of CIC or the immigration officer? Do they look at current employment in assessing?
Thanks, Richard

(in reply to: SW employment status at interview time) I dont think it matters. You can always say that you have been using the time to actively search for work in Canada.

(in reply to: SW employment status at interview time) all they need to see is one year of job in the last ten years of your life.

(in reply to: SW employment status at interview time) Anonymous,
If that´s the case, then why do they ask for current employment letter as addition doc after IA?
