Any nurses on the forum?
Just wondering...what are the job prospects for nurses in CA? How possible is it to obtain a nursing job prior to completion of PR Process? Would obtaining a work visa while PR is in process have any adverse effects on my PR application? I´m just soooo sad that i didn´t think of applying as a provical nominee first..those time lines are getting shorter while SW is getting longer. I really miss my hubby. I´ve already sent for Ontario RN licensing application.

(in reply to: Canadian jobs for nurses?) Which province do you want to move to? Do you have a nursing degree? (4 years undergrad) You´ll need it or you´ll have to update your qualifications and experience once in Canada!

(in reply to: Canadian jobs for nurses?) I would think job prospects are pretty good since they are always crying out for nurses in Canada. Obtain a job by writing to hospitals you´ve seen with job advertisements. You might find they will ask for a work permit before they hire you but you could suggest they sponsor you. I think that would speed up the process but I´m not sure. Try this: http://ontarionursing.ca/ You say you miss your husband - is he Canadian then? Why doesn´t he sponsor you?

(in reply to: Canadian jobs for nurses?) So you mean, you and your husband live apart in different countries and you´re the principal applicant in your joint skilled worker case? Wow, I didn´t know you could do that as I thought you had to be common-law or married and living together.
