Subject: Questions about Medical
  Fellas,

Got some questions about medical...

a) Do they (doctors) tell you in case of any health problem after the test?
b) What to do in case of any health problem arises? Do applicants need to go back to retest and pay again?
c) How to know when the medical-doc is sent (except to see update at e-client)?
d) How long it takes them to send after the test is done?
e) I know 3 months is the validity to complete the mediacal after the interview...but what happens if re-test is required after 3 months?

Thanks to let me know and I´ll appreciate if you have any experience or suggestions to share.

Dear Sammy
from my experience/what i heard from dr:
a) doctor will inform you in case of any serious desease
b) i am afraid that you can not do much about it as far as your medicals will be sent and most probably rejected in case of serious desease
c) you can ask dr to inform you once it is done and then ask the embassy politely to confirm the receipt
d) few days (blood test and urine test results)
e) you have to pass the test once again

Dear Sammy,

a. Your doctor is required to tell you immediately if there´s a problem with your medicals.

b. In some cases, CIC would ask for a re-test and most probably you´ll pay again (not sure though). Applications can be rejected based on medical grounds.

c. You have to make sure that your doctor will use a courier with tracking number so you can track if your medicals have reached the Ottawa Office. There is also a phone number that you can call (613-941-2170) to verify but most of the times it is just recorded messages but you can keep trying. Emailing them is also an option but I would give about 3 months from medicals before verofying.

d. It took my doctor more than 2 weeks to send out the meds to Ottawa. I think it varies from doctor to doctor.

e. Longer definitely but no idea how long.

Doctors will most likely tell you if there is a problem . I had a problem with my urine test - apparently there was some bacteria or something . The doctor called me once he got the results , prescribed some anti-biotics to be taken for 10days , then asked me to come back for another urine test . The second test was fine , so he sent that with the other med results to CIC .
