Hi Guys,
I applied to buffalo CIC as SW and got AOR within 20 days of mailing my documents. Just wanted to let you know.
So where does it go from here ?
Comments and suggestions will be appreciated.

just because you got AOR doesn`t mean anything.You will have to wait for another 2yrs.

Your AOR is basically the first official communication from CIC...assigning you your file number.
Now you are waiting for your IA (Initial Assessment)..this can come anywhere from 9 months to over a year. In your IA, you should know if you need to be interviewed or not.
Your medical papers will also come with your IA....

Syd you seem to be a tad on the pessimistic side here .. been waiting for too long or what :D ?

Syd´s comment is just a sign to be realistic, get ready that the process can take longer than 2 years, if it will happen earlier- would be just great! I really hope it will go faster soon.
We (SWs, Buffalo) got our AOR in less than a month, it has been 25 months ago (and the medicals expired in Sept. 2005).
Wnen IA came in 8 months (expectation was 16, based on CIC letter), we were very excited. But one should be rather realistic to save nervous system than excited, :))

actually it was 9 months since AOR,actually, but does not really matter, I think everything depends on the rate of background checking.

i agree with you hell ... this is all on luck for sure and background checks .. i know my friend who got his immigration within 10 months after he got his AOR ...
