Hi Steve,

Unfortunately, Detroit doesn´t honor email inquiry, well at least that´s what the customer service lady told me. They want a letter or a fax where you can put your signature.

Entry into Canada for fishing (in reply to: Detroit E-mail)
Dear Sir/Madame,
I have been going fishing in Canada for about the last 10 years. I recently got a passport as I am planning another fishing trip in June/2007. When looking thru the entry into Canada websites I´ve come across info saying that if a person has an OWI conviction (I have one that is 6 years old) that I need to have a rehabilitation form filled out. I never had any jail time for my OWI, just license suspended for 6 months, fines and alcohol counciling. So do I still need to submit a Rehabilitation form for the fee of $200 to $1000 and up to a year to process it. My fishing trip is planned for June, so if I need to do this, I guess I´ll be fishing in the U.S. Please let me know if you have any info to help me figure out what I need to do before I spend any more money. The Counsulate in Chicago said I should try to talk to you folks, as you probably have better info. I´ve tried calling different places but I only get an automated system and no option to talk to a real person. Can you please help me find out if I just need my passport to gain entry (driving into Canada, not flying) or is there more involoved? I live in Wisconsin if helps any. Thank you in advance for any and assistance.
Sincerely,
Earl McNeill
