Subject: CAIPS file - question
First off, thank you all for all of your postings. The open exchange gives all of us waiting for passport requests comfort and reassurances in what is certainly a difficult process.

So people know my timeline:
Appl Aug 2004 (to buffalo, US Citizen, no other countries lived)
AOR Nov 2004
IA May 2005, interview waived, no addtl docs needed
paid RPRF May 2005
Medicals sent May 25, 2005
Waiting for the PPR and was sure I was one of the "early 2006" group, though I hadn´t sent an email to buffalo asking about this.

Based on information I saw here, after seeing discussion of the targets being reached for 2005 in Buffalo, I sent for my caips notes, which arrived today. It looks as if everything is complete, and under the notes section, I see PPT Request letter sent Aug 17, 2005. All look complete, medical code is M23, which looks as if it still admissible. Final decision is 0. My confusion lies in there being an indication of a passport request letter being sent in August (which I never received) in addition to "final decision - 0" in the file. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks and best of luck to all!

- Kenny

I would immediately write Buffalo/ fax Buffalo with your concern. That way they know you have not received a letter that may have been sent.

Thanks Sharon! I email the generic email address that I´ve seen in previous postings, and will post any answers that I am given for anyone else in my position, or who is waiting for their PPR. I know how excruciating it is!

I would also fax. they may not respond beyond a generic answer on the email. make sure you sign the fax so they can verify the signature against your file.
