Hi All,
I received a letter from CHC Accra to pay RPRF and show proof of funds again in the form of a bank statement for the past 12 months. The letter also stated that I should do within 60 days of the date it was written. In the same I was asked to go for medical examination.
Before I got this letter, I got a mail which stated that my application has selected for accelerated processing and I should fill out the new IRPA application forms.
When I applied in 2001, I applied as a single person. However, when I submitted the documents, I included my wife in the application and sent in a fixed deposit letter from the bank of less than C$ 11,000.
Presently I can provide a statement of account that has about C$ 13,000, I would like to know the best way to show this proof of funds in order not to raise any suspicions.
Please provide me with advice on this issue.

Is your wife accompanying you? CAD13000 is enough for the 2 of you.
If your bank statements can show a balance of CAD13000 I think that is okay as proof of funds. If some months your balance went below CAD13000 I think it is still okay, as long as the in and out flow of cash can be considered normal.
If you don´t normally keep bank statements, you can request your bank for copies, they´ll charge you for sure :)

what will happen if i dont have the balance in my account.
Can i show in bank statement in back home.
One more question
me and my wife both studying in canada with Research Asssitantship. Can i show that as constant money is coming every month so i can rectify my low balaance
Acteally i have low balance last month
(1500 $)so only this confusion

just curious,
why people in canada also has to show bank statement? the reason they ask for bank statement is to prove that we can survive for at least 6 months without jobs, isn´t it? i thought bank statement is required only for applicants living outside canada.
speaking of proof of funds, i enclosed copy of both my stock option and bank statement along with my application. do you think they´re gonna need my recent one sometime later? I am waiting for my IA, willing to get the letter beginning of 2006 (i wish..). hope they don´t ask for docs nomore. I had sent everything they need.
