Hi,
I have a question about the typo error I saw on the COPR. My passport validity was 10JUN2010 but on the COPR they put it as 10JAN2010. Is this a very important thing to notify the embassy for correction , my concern was that it would take me again 2 weeks to send them my visa and the docs..

YES you MUST do that. Any mistakes on the COPR document can cause torubls at the landing port.
