Yodiyokun,
I am a Nigerian too and applied August 2001, people that applied around that time have been receiving news from CHC accra, so just be a little more patient and I am sure you will hear from them.
I will advise you to go and take the IELTS exam if you have not done it and filled the new forms and send it to them. Make sure you send all the changes that have occurred since you sent your application. That was what I did and so did not expect to see IA mail or letter from them.
I got a mail from them that acknowledges all the forms I sent to then and also my wife´s application.

but last friday got the interview waiver and some set of forms..request for police cert..so will send everything in soon hopefully by next week.
so hope everything rolls on smoth and swiftly from now
