Subject: sponsoring children
My dad´s a citizen of Canada. He is now in the process of sponsoring my mom and my two younger siblings (both of whom are under 22 years old) to becoming Canadian residents. However, another brother and I are above 22 years old, and me being married and have a child. Both my brother an I depend on our parents very much since we work for the family business and still live with our parents. However, my father intends to sell the business and the house when they all migrate to Canada. Is there anyway we can be sponsored or maybe apply for Canadian residency ourselves so we can be with our family. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey Terry

1. You can apply seperately for Canadian immigration and you will get points as your dad is a citizen. If you have a huge Bank Balance you could immigrate under business class or family class as you are married.

2. You could go to Canada and your dad sponsors you and you apply for Permanent residency from inside Canada.

Thats what I can think of.

You can´t go to Canada and apply from inside by having your dad sponsor you. This is only for spouses and common-law partners. The ONLY way you can get the Canada is by going via the skilled worker route from your home country and wait it out. Sorry.
