Subject: FOSS - what is it? |
On my CAIPS notes there is a position under the name FOSS
I have a note: CVV refusal, March 2001
What is this Foss and for what is this used for?

(in reply to: FOSS - what is it?) FOSS is for in-Canada residents and CAIPS is for those from outside canada.
Were you ever in-Canada resident? That 2001 refusal could be that. I don´t know what CVV means.

(in reply to: FOSS - what is it?) Hi Peter,
You must have applied for a Canadian visa which was refused in March 2001.

(in reply to: FOSS - what is it?) I never applied for any visa before?

I still don't understand (in reply to: FOSS - what is it?) Sorry, but I still don´t understand what a foss number is. Does everyone have one? Is it tied in to law enforcement and employment, etc.? Do you get one only if you´ve left the country before?
I have found very little information about this mysterious FOSS number. Any straight-forward answers would be most appreciated.

(in reply to: FOSS - what is it?) Foss number is tied to an immigration application. Nothing to do with the issues you listed.
