Applying for permanent residence (in reply to: H1B expires in 6month, can I apply for Canadian PR) Hi,
You may apply now from the USA if you were admitted for a period of least 12 months. However, it is quite doubtful that you will receive Canadian PR within the next six months.
For statistics on processing time, you may consult the following link:

(in reply to: H1B expires in 6month, can I apply for Canadian PR) I think atleast it is going to take 1 1/2 year to 2 years to get the Canada PR card.I have been applied for my PR card on Jan 2004,till now i didn´t get the visa.
