  Finally I got a visa stamp on my passport; I am very happy and going to have a good life in Canada with tons of opportunity.

So guys I need some help with information;

I am in US, Is there any problem I will go to Canada by car?

Do we have to carry amount of fund that is require by CIC?

How long is it takes to get PR?

Should I apply for PR and come back to US before I get PR in my hand?

Guys appreciate your help!!

Congrats....

There is no problem if you land by car. Just make sure all your car documents are in place and that you are authorised t take it out of the country etc.I saw a post in the forum regarding landing by car so check that out as well.

You might be asked by the stamping officer to show the prooof of funds and also they might ask you how much money you are carrying .It does not matter if its in a draft or cash or whatever as long as you declae it. Also you need o ceck if there is a limit on how much money you can carry . I. Normally you need to declare the amount you ae carrying if its huge. So be careful if you have a briefcase full of millions :-)

The PR can take soemthing like a month or so depending upon where you are. I think you can apply for the PR card, leave Canada and then go back. I know a friend who did this and he travelled all the way from the Middle East and back.

Double check everything befre you leave.

All the best.

Just to clarify, You don´t apply for PR card, the Officer at the border will do this automatically when you land, and he/she will ask for an address for the card to be sent to.
got mine in about 3 weeks after landing.

and for amount of money you can carry with you in person
the limit is $10.000.00.
you can always bring your latest (US)bank statement.

and Congratulation, welcome to Canada pal :)

hey Parth well done and good luck in your new life in Canada wish you the best... Bank accounts from other countries cannot be shown as proof of funds in Canada. You can either carry the amount required in cash ...or transfer that money to a canadian bank in Canada and show the transfer documents at the port...You can even use Western Union http://www.westernunion.com/info/selectCountry.asp?country=global)( services and do not need to have a bank account in Canada...If you are using Western Union to transfer your money, just give the details of : 1. who will get the money (give your own name and surname) 2. Where you are sending the money (could be a bank account or just an address) so give the address of the place where you are going to reside.... And on your return to Canada you can withdraw that money from any branch of Western Union in Canada in any place ....Please do not show the transfer documents at the port if you use a bank or Western Union...Just a last reminder, if you transfer money via any bank or Western Union you have to pay some fees if you do not wanna pay those fees, just carry it with you in cash and let the immigration officer know how much you are taking with you into Canada... Good luck
