Has anyone had to obtain police certificate from Switzerland while being in the US? What is the procedure?
Thanks!

(in reply to: police certificate from Switzerland: how?) I used to live in Switzerland so I know how you would be able to obtain a police certificate while living in the US. The link I have is only in German so if you know German, I can post the link here and you just need to follow the instructions. If not, maybe I can have it translated for you since my husband speaks the language.

(in reply to: police certificate from Switzerland: how?) Dear Starchief,
please, post the link! If your husband dosn´t have time to translate it - I have a friend who is fluent. I´m getting so frustrated... called swiss consulate several times, they don´t give any info over the phone, said they´ll mail it. I am waiting for a week already, and nothing yet. And I have a deadline to forward certificate to Buffalo :-(((
(that´s another story.. I spent 11 weeks in Switzerland as an intern, and then 3 years later 3 weeks as a tourist. Buffalo requested a police certificate!
Same for Germany... SPent less then two months.. they want a police clearance..)
Thanks so much!

(in reply to: police certificate from Switzerland: how?) Ok here is the link for you. Good luck with getting the police certificate. I know they do it quite fast when you are living in the country but I am not sure how long it will take to do it from abroad.
