Subject: Desicion Made
  Hi
on 5/12/2005 I checked my e-client and I found it that it changed from "In Process" to "Desision Made". I have not called for an interview nor received the medical form yet. Is this good or bad??!! I am afraid that is a refusal of my application. The time line as follow:-

On 23 April 2004 = Application received.
On 22 Aug. 2005 = More information needed such as IELTS exam.
On 21 Nov. 2005 = All needed documents are mailed.
On 05 Dec. 2005 = A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Please if somebody tell me what will happen and is there any bad news will come....People I need your help.

I´m afraid it means rejection. I haven´t seen any cases with PPR without medicals. Unless you had the medicals done when you came to Canada and they are still valid or they´ve extended them. Let´s hope for good news. Keep us posted!
PS. Where are you from and how many points did you score?

Thanks!

I´m sorry to hear that. My timeline is very similar to yours. Did you apply to Buffalo?

April 2004 AOR
March 2005 IELTS required
June 2005 IELTS submitted
Nov. 2005 medicals & interview waiver
waiting for PPR now.

I am Lebanese working in Saudi Arabia - Riyadh and I applied to London office. I do not know may be my score has shortage of 2 points which is 65 because of the IELTS exam. Is it possible to do the exam again and why they refuse the case for two points only. I heard the offices are flixeable in such similer cases. They can pass poeple if they have a shortage of 5 points. I am very depressed and very sad becaue I hanged all my dreams on this immigration.
any way thank you....

does not mean rejection, wait for the letter, could be rejection could be interview waiver or interview needed.
good luck

don´t be sad!
If you are rejected, apply again. This time with a better IELTS score and more work experience (since April 2004 I assume your English improved and maybe you gained more work experience)

Good Luck!

Once you´ve sent your scores, you can´t take the test over again. Also, I´ve never heard about them accepting anyone with anything less than 67. Gee, in that case I wouldn´t have needed to take a TEF exam. Anybody else has any input on that??

Hi Shadi,

If you score 65 points based on the IELTS score then I am afraid that your application has been rejected. But no one can say for sure till you received the letter from the Canadian embassy.

This is exactly why it is very important for people who´s first language is not english to appear in IELTS. Since you applied in April 2004 you had a lot of time to appear in IELTS and make sure that you get atleast 7 in each section of IELTS to get the max 16 points in English proficiency.

Anyway I would suggest that you appear in IELTS again and improve your score. If your application is rejected you can submit a new application with the IELTS score.

Hello Shadi
Man I got the same message before medicals from Buffalo. after a week , they sent me the medicals and asked for other documents. It is certainly good . Another thing is that if you need 2 points , the officer has authority to give you some bonus points. Do not worry at all . I am lebanese in USA :) .. Just relax man! Your application is fine!
