Subject: Christmas present-visas are ready!!:):) - part 2
  Hi guys,

I emailed Detroit visa office last night (11 pm) inquiring about the status of our application. I was not really expecting an immediate answer because I thought they wanted a signed letter to inquire status.

In less than 24 hours, I got an email from them bearing GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!

After almost 2 years.....OUR VISA IS READY FOR ISSUANCE!!!!

We don´t have the actual letter yet but oh boy...the email said that we will be receiving the letter soon. I never thought it could feel this good.

All praise and glory to the Almighty God!

I hope that this good news will bring hope to us all waiting and hoping for a better life in Canada.....

I totally understand how it feels. Still remeber when I got my PPR I was so happy that I forgot to pay bus fare because I was still thinking about it. Of course the bus driver was pissed off. :D

I don´t understand the part of file transfer to Detroit! Did you apply in Buffalo? or Detroit? Can you please explain why file transfer to Setroit?

Because selection interviews are only conducted in few offices in US. Detroit is one of them. Buffalo only conducts security interviews not the selection interviews. So his files has to be transferred.

George is right. I don´t know with other CIC offices but in Buffalo when you receive your IA and you need to attend a selection interview...your file will be transferred to a different CIC office I guess based on where you live, since I am in NJ my file was transferred to Detroit.
