Wow, wish I could say the same thing.. not sure if it´s worth the long wait and agony. My timeline´s the same as yours but no IA in sight.

isn´t that a pretty quick timeline for IA through buffalo for skilled workers? a lot of people are still waiting since 01,02 and 03...

within a years time your decision has changed already?... I´d make sure of a serious move like that.. if your mind can change in less than a years time.. what was your reasoning?

^I don´t think my case was particularly fast. This is consistent with the current processing timelines for Buffalo.

As for my mind-change...well, I always had doubts about whether I would be happy in Canada (extreme cold, lack of jobs, etc etc)...but I applied anyways just in case my opinion changed later....but it did not...in fact now I more convinced than ever that I would like to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven (if you get my drift).

I´m (trying) to live in the Vancouver area, not too cold there. I´ve even seen palm trees growing. As for jobs, it depends what your field is but they´re definitely there.
Anonymous, the average wait for IA is 8-12 months. the timelines you mentioned are way out of line, probably due to security measures for their particular countries.
For_What_It_Is_Worth, I wouldn´t make any decision yet, you´ve already made a big step, don´t let it go to waste. My 2 cnts.

on the flip side, if you have indeed changed your mind, please formally withdraw your application so CIC does not count you into their annual targets. Your kindness will hopefully move someone up the list that would still like to immigrate.

I am in Vancouver too. We had sunshine all week. yes, it was cold but that is what clothes are for. Not so cold you could not be outside. In fact I saw a man jogging in shorts without any sort of shirt on (mind you I thought he was missing a few bricks). As for jobs, Canada has the lowest unemployment rate in 30 years. No better time than now to be job hunting.

I am jogging everyday with T-shirt only, we are -2c on morning here in Nanaimo, pretty warm!!! I like this weather.

jobs are everywhere, just depend on if you wanna work or not and what kind of life you are looking for.

Anything below 50 degrees is cold to me, but I´ll get used to it.
Believe it or not, I´m actually sick and tired of perfect California weather. I need some change!
