  hi folks ,
it has been just one month that i had applied . when i got AOR the e-client status just had the name and it said application in process. after 1 month , last friday i checked and saw that it has the complete current address too.
so i think they are slowly working on it. can some one put some light on this ?
one more thing,
there has been a significant delay at CIC post where i applied after 2004 . Till 2004 it was one of the fastest CIC posts. so one bloke in the british expats forum has written that CIC post informed him that the immigration officer is on maternity leave and so the applications wil not be processed until the officer returns. it sounds weird. but he says his lawyer also said the same and it appears that this problem often happens .
my doubt is that , wont they put a new officer to replace the officer on long leave?

Thats very strange. Normally I would assume that the CIC is not dependent on peoples maternity leaves. If thats the case then aplications would never be processed. For startes you have recieved your AOR pretty fast and so has your online status been updated. That signifies that the maternity leave has nothing to do with the aplication.

Just relax for now and see how it goes and to aswer your question I am sure that the CIC would put a new officer in plae of the old one to process the applications. How ever thats my opinion. Things might be otherwise depending upon which country you are in and what is the number of applications that the CIC processes at your location.

All the best.
