I don´t think you need lawyer to file application, if that is your first question.

regarding big step, even if you apply now your PR is years away. so it´s definitely worth to apply now and keep the process started. 1.5 years from now, no matter what your situation is, you will have an additional choice in hand.

I´d say it´s worth it. just a thought.

Here is a complete guide to Skilled Worker application

http://www.cic.gc.ca/manuals-guides/english/op/op06e.pdf

I suggest you read it several times and if you still decide to hire lawyers then it is your choice...remember you would be saving thousands if you won´t. If you decide to hire, just be wiser than them...remember you are the sole responsible for your application.

Should you take such a big step now? Unfortunately, you are the only one who can answer that.

Canada has its nice and bad things about it. Immigrating is really a personal choice. You alone know your choices, your present dilemma and the reasons for considering Canada. It is easy to decide if you will base your decision on the nice things about Canada. The question is, will you still be able and willing to appreciate Canada despite the bad things about it?

So again, should you take such a big step now? I cannot answer that...but as for us, we are glad we did. No, we still don´t know what lies ahead but because we decided 2 years ago that Canada is where we want to be, then we also decided that we will make the most out of it. Enjoy your life.

If you insticts tell you to apply....you should.... Life is always a challenge and well nothing comes easy.

This one though I hear is a long long process, but again, waiting could be killing but I guess at the end of it all, its like seeing light at the end of the tunnel !

I have been thinking of applying for the last 4 years, but never took a step forward, as I kept thinking too much about it...I realize my mistake, as I have left time slip by. so learn from me... Dont wait...if you think you should apply go forward.
