i got my caips yesterday, i applied to it on 11/7/05 so it took like 45 days to get it.i´m a buffalo applicant.

my details are as follow:

the caips says that BF is now RO6 10-1-06. can u tell me what does this mean?

my BDEC was 8-9-05 but there is no number next to it. can u explain those to me?

Your file will most likely be looked at on January 10, 2006 unless something will come up before that date. I read somebody in this forum with a BFD same as yours. Maybe a lot of the early 2006 cases have that BFD.

RO6 could be the code or initials of the visa officer

BDEC the date could be when it was started..since no number beside it, it could still be on going or could mean something else.

Just for comparison, my BDEC (as of CAIPS Dec 5) also did not have any number beside it but my case is for visa issuance.

January 10 could be a very special day for you....keep praying and believing....good luck.

well at the top of the caips notes it says that BDEC was initiated on 5-5-05 and it was recieved for PI on 8-9-05. so i think this measn that my background check was terminated on 8-9-05. am i correct?

looks like it....PI is you so it could be okay now...

have you tried emailing Buffalo for status inquiry? send them a polite inquiry....it might answer all your questions....good luck.

Hi mts, in my CAIPS notes the date format is DD-MM-YYYY and I believe it is a standard/official date format in Canada....so 10-1-2006 means January 10, 2006.
