New Immigration Rules Make Obtaining a Job Offer FIRST a Priority

The immigration community is in an uproar over the new legislation
released by Canadian Immigration authorities. The main purpose of
this legislation appears to be to ´wipe out´ the excessive backlog
of more than 300,000 applications. Only applicants who have already
been approved or have had an interview before the new law comes into
effect next June will be judged according to the old criteria.

The new criterion applies for the ´skilled worker´ category only.
The number of points required will increase, putting more emphasis
on education, language skills, work experience and ties to Canada
such as having family here or a job offer. This will eliminate the
old practise of earning points for certain occupations. The new pass
mark will be 80 points out of 100 instead of 70 out of 100.

How can you ensure immigration success under the new system? Perform
a job search first and obtain a job offer. Obtaining a job offer
before immigrating is not impossible. Employment consulting firms
that specialize in this area are invaluable to someone that needs to
increase their points for immigration. Canada US Employment is a
firm that is established in the immigration industry by providing
sob search programs for clients on a pre-visa basis.

Preparation, professional advice and understanding the Canadian job
market are key factors if your relocation to Canada is to proceed as
smoothly as possible. Too few migrants realise employers are willing
to interview individuals for positions before they relocate. Canada
US Employment has dealt with many migrants who have received written
job offers prior to permanent relocation as a result of having
interviews scheduled for an initial visit.

Canada US Employment operates differently from most job agencies.
Employers give our candidates preference, as we do not charge them a
fee. As a result they are more willing to create positions should
the candidate have the right skills. We ensure that our clients not
only find a position, but that they find the right position, which
matches their skills, job requirements and career objectives.

Full Service Job Search Program is a comprehensive job search
program culminating in employment interviews in cities across Canada
either on a pre or post visa basis. The objective is to obtain a
suitable, written job offer for clients in the shortest time
possible. In many cases, a written job offer may help ensure visa
approval. Securing employment prior to relocating provides security
and an ongoing source of income.

Clients receive:
A comprehensive job search program in any city
Revised market-effective resume in a Canadian format.
Extensive research to identify relevant potential employer
companies.
Employment interviews arranged in advance of a scheduled visit or to
commence upon permanent relocation on a pre or post visa basis.
Winning interview strategies.
Information about each company you interview with is provided.
Individual coaching, advice and follow-up throughout the interview
process.
Job offer attainment in 70-80% of cases.
The new immigration rules are going to cause a lot of problems over
the next year. Ben Trister, head of the immigration section of the
bar association was quoted in the Toronto Star as saying "Under the
new point system, unless you have very, very close family here and a
job offer, you´re not getting in." Start your application right, and
trust the experts to help you get a job offer before relocating!

Hi all,

The contents on this site -

is nothing but a cheap marketing gimmick.

New point system is due anytime now, but NOBODY KNOWS EXACTLY what would be the number and when it would be!

Hi,

I´m sure the passmark will go up, but when and what, I don´t know (rather nobody knows).

But, I guess it should be around Christmas, 2004(again, it is my guess and BEARS NO AUTHENTICITY) coz usually CIC needs at least one year to analyze the effect of last point change.

Hi Romantic Warrior,

I understand your anxiety.

No, as I said I do not have any authentic news. But, 67 points are pretty low and drains lot of work to the system.

What I mention now is my own opinion:

Controling power of adjusting points is a kind of ´control valve´ mechanism to the immigration system. When Canada requires more manpower the points are lowered and vice versa.

As I mentioned in the beginning, points were lowered last year for the required manpower. Moreover, it is little over one year since the points adjusted and enough time to analyze the effect of current point system. Since the required manpower is obtained (or in the process) chances are the points MAY BE increased.

BTW, I hold PR and in Canada.

Good luck to you and all waiting.

Thank yo Sanrup, hope one day soon before they change the pass mark, I could get the PR and find my way to Canada. Do u think that if it is raised beyond my score, my case will be jeopardaised?
Regards,
