i think it is important to update the CIC about your job situation if you are principal applicant. if you are dependant i dont think it is that important. pls clarify this information with senior members like kenny and sharon.

You must inform them of ANY changes in your status

I don´t think you have to advise the consulate of a new job. On the AOR letter it states that you must advise them of changes in MAILING ADDRESS OR FAMILY COMPOSITION.
I think that when they mail you the IA and if they request updates or additional documentation that is the time to update job information. This is just my opinion from what I read on my AOR letter.

However on the aor letter, please check " contacting our office"
it says " If you need to communicate new information, you may use the Change in Personal Information form on the reserse"
I suggest you should update your personal information
Anyway, I did so by mail my new second year post-secondary work-permit, 2005 T-4. Nothing heard back, I am MARCH 09,2005 AOR

I have applied for PR for Canada as I got the PNP approval.
But recently I have changed my job. So please advise me how can I inform CIC about this.
