Subject: Husband left Canada before my landing
My husband left Canada a couple months ago before I receive my Land Immigrant Paper. The consulate here in my country said that I will get my papers until January 06-2006.
What could happen if CIC in Canada know that my husband (sponsor of me and my children) does not live in Canada any more..?

to be honest... if your english is not excellent and you do not have good skills to work - the last thing you want to be doing is coming to Canada without anyone here to help you. You will not have an easy time of it.

I do not know how CIC will handle your situation. Regardless, I would not even try to come to Canada unless the above issues are in good order - for your sake.

Hi Susy,

Is your husband a Canadian PR or a Canadian citizen?

If he is a Canadian citizen there is nothing to worry about as citizens can sponsor their spouse even if they are not living in Canada. In this situation your husband may have to provide evidence that he will reside in Canada at the time you and your children become permanent residents of Canada.

BUT if your husband is a PR then it can be bad news for you because if you are not a Canadian citizen, you cannot sponsor if you live outside Canada.

My husband is a Canadian Citizen but not born in Canada.
He can not provide any evidence of life in Canada because he moved to his country where he presently leving and working for almost 6 months with no intention to return to Canada.I want to live with my children in Canada waiting that one day he will come back. I will live with friends for a couple of months until me and my children, 22 and 18 years old find a job.

I think you are in a bad situation..the whole idea of sponsoring is for him to be here with you.
Good luck with it but I would not be too optimistic about it. When CIC finds out, things will not be good.
