     | Student Visa and PR (in reply to: Student Visa and PR) Hi,

I am not an immigration expert. Therefore, this is only a suggestion. Maybe you could consider the Manitoba PNP program. Details can be found there:

 http://www.gov.mb.ca/labour/immigrate/immigration/2.html#International_Students

I understand you have not yet graduated. I feel it may be more appropriate to wait until you completed your degree.

Otherwise, you may assess yourself for the federal skilled workers program at:

 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/assess/index.html

If you qualify at this point, you could apply directly through this program?

 Good luck!

     | (in reply to: Student Visa and PR) Hi,

To qualify for the federal skilled workers program you must have 1 year of full-time work experience. I suggest that you visit the website www.cic.gc.ca and see if you have sufficient points to qualify. If your Uncle is you father´s/mother´s real brother (Not cousin) you will get additional points.

I believe that Shannon has given a very good suggestion regarding the Manitoba PNP program. Do a lot of research and you should get a way to apply for immigration.

     | Thanks (in reply to: Student Visa and PR) Thanks for the replies. I have worked in Winnipeg on Campus full time over the summer months, so that is 4 months each summer for 3 years, total of 12 months of full time work and some other part time work as well. My uncle is my dad´s brother. PNP asks if i have 1 year or more of post secondary education and have obtained a degree or diploma. I haven´t obtained either.

thanks in advance if u could respond!
