Subject: Important: E-mail from Buffalo
I renewed my passport and sent a copy to them . I sent them an e-mail asking about whether it is received and enquiring about the status of the application . They replied:

" Youn need to mail in your original passport".

Does this mean that they will stamp the visa ? I did not get ppr in the mail. I e-mailed them again saying : " Do you need my original passport for visa stamping because I did not get the ppr letter in the mail , and asked if it was sent out ? ..
I asked them for confirmation asap..

what do you guys think??//

I am confused ..

They need the passport + 3 photos+ the landing letter where it has my file number which I do not have . I am going to wait their reply tomorrow and see. I really do not know what to do , probably my ppr is lost in the mail. This is very mysterious..!!!!!!!!!

BraveHeart,

It is very likely that they will stamp the passport for you, since you are from the early 2006 club.

Who did send you the reply? Does the email show any officer´s name?

The email I got from Buffalo shows the name of the officer who send me the email.

I suggest you to wait for about one week before sending your passports. If they really wanted your passports for visa stamping, then you will receive a formal PPR by that time.

CanadianWannabe,

I do not have the name of the officer in the e-mail. I am just afraid they thought it is a general question and did not read the e-mail very well . They might have thought that i got the ppr letter and sent them the copy of the passport instead of the real one. I really do not know until i get an answer from them tomorrow or at least soon.

You are almost through, I think wait for another 2 days, either you might get PPR or a favorable email response from them.

Could you plz post your timeline, CAIPS results? Are you on Study permit in Canada?
