Subject: expecting PPR soon but Passport expires soon |
Hi guys,
I am expecting PPR soon but my passport expires soon within 6 months. Will Buffalo accept my passport for stamp?
Do I need to renew my passport before sending for stamp?
Thanks.

thank you (in reply to: expecting PPR soon but Passport expires soon) I donot think so. Because I have seen a ppr and it says a valid passport. doesnot say anything about time.

(in reply to: expecting PPR soon but Passport expires soon) i think passport should be atleast valid for 6 months.....this is usually the requirement for every kind of visa....you may confirm with the consulate.....good luck

(in reply to: expecting PPR soon but Passport expires soon) Steve, I think you´re confusing travel visa requirements with the immigrant visa papers. It´s true some countries won´t issue you a travel visa if your passport isn´t valid for at least six months, but the Canadian immigrant visa is transferable to a new passport when the previous one expires.
Having said that, if ´waiting´ plans to travel to Canada with a new passport, it makes sense to apply for it now rather than later.
