Joe, in reply to your question on how to get medical extended, I just shot them an email requesting my medical be extended. I didn´t get any response from them though. A few people on this forum have indicated their medical got extended from somewhere between 6 month to a year. If yours has expired, don´t lose sleep over it. Chances are it also got extended since it´s no fault of ours that it expired. With that said, i ask that you, faith, big apple and everyone, hang in there. Don´t let this background check thing turn your life upside down. Tough times don´t last, tough guys do.

My Background check is still in process.. and everytime i send them eamil they would reply that the background is still in process...........

Hey Joe, hwsgeo, and CanadianWannabe,
I think no matter they send you fax telling you that your medical has been extended or not, it really doesn´t matter. Only after the background check is finished. They can make the decesion. Otherwise, they have the right to extend it or deny to extend it. The right is totally in their hands.
I sent a polite letter to them and asked for the extension, they responsed very quickly and offered the extension for 6 months. Now the background check is still pending. Time ticks by, I doubt they will give another extension, although I hope they can finish the background check before the current extension expires again.
Good luck guys, try send a fax or letter to them and explain why it is reasonable to ask for an extension.
Let´s not give up.
