I got a reply today from buffalo:
"Your application for permanent residence will be reviewed for finalization early 2006."
My timeline:
Application: Feb 2004
AOR: March 2004
IA: Nov 2004
Doc Sent: Jan 2005
Medical Recd: Aug 2005
Am I the only one left from Feb 2004 or someone is accompanying me on the Feb 2004 or before boat?

By the way, I have not gotten the earlly 2006 message... my background is still in process....
Anybody out there waiting for his background check to finish?

I ordered CAIPS in Nov 2005 and it shows background pending...´
They do not mention that in the emails that my background is pending all they say is will be reviewed for finalization early 2006.....

If any of you guys worked in government organizations before in your home country, it will definitely take more than one year for background checks.

I never worked for goverment organization....
according to my CAIPS they started by background in March 2005...
I am from India and I am in USA for the last six years....

Now i don´t feel so bad, as i´ve been wondering when the hell my "brown envelope" is going to show up (july 2004 AOR). emailed cic about it, last friday, and haven´t received a response yet.

i started my application in Jan 2004, and has been waiting for pp request for more than a year. Background check is still pending and i never worked in any military or government organizations. I am still waiting.
