It takes time for the information to go from your doctor to Medical Facility in Ottawa and then to the Consulate handling your case. This is normal. Give it another 2-3 months and then you can write again.

Hi Starwars ,
I have already done my medicals in march and after 3 months was asked to submit additional documents which included some additional information but no medical test.My lawyer had sent them directly to the consulate so I am not sure why it is taking so long. They have to let me know if that is suffcieint enough to accept or reject my application.
Thanks.

Hi,

The immigration officers are not experts in medical diagnosis. So even if you have sent the medical information to consulate directly, they in turn will send it to the medical facility in Ottawa (so tomorrow they are not blamed). Ottawa shall look over them, and agree / disagree with the results and inform the consulate. The turn around times are slow, believe me. My medicals were misplaced in Ottawa and I assumed all was OK until after 4 months consulate asked me where my medicals are? So I had to follow up with the clinic and Ottawa. Finally Ottawa found my medicals and sent findings to Buffalo.

My point being, relax - these are govt. agencies communicating between themseleves with thousands of cases and it does take time.

If your doctor has looked at the case and given an OK, then nothing to worry about. Most likely it is the chest X-Rays. Sometimes the person taking them does not take them properly and hence there are some doubts. Was it a case of X-Ray in your case?
