| Subject: anyone know a business immigration lawyer |

in the South East of England. My husband and I want to emigrate to Canada, choice would be B.C. or Alberta. He is a self-employed kitchen fitter, bathroom fitter etc and I am studying at the moment in child care services. We would like to run our own business but need to contact a reliable immigration lawyer in the UK to give us the advise we need. Thanks

Hey Theresa why do you need a lawyer? Why dont you just go to the offical site of CIC and do some searching ...I really do not feel that there is a need for a consultant or lawyer for immigration ...Do not spend your valuable money on something that you can get on your own ....Please visit the following site :http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.html

Hi there, thanks for the reply. Our problem is that although my husband is self employed he does not qualify under any of the requirements for self employed person i.e. he is not in the agricultural business or cultural activities so basically we don´t qualify. What we had heard is that if we were to buy a business before leaving the UK that we might get special visa?? Do you know anything about this....reason why we thought we needed a lawyer who could confirm this or not. Thanks again for your reply. Theresa
