IELTS requested end 07/05 and sent end 09/05.
Since then - nothing, silence. That´s why I decided to e-mail them and got the reply within a week.

Keep the thread and keep me posted if you get IA before me.
I guess Nov,Dec 2004 and Jan 2005 suffered because of some strike @ CIC (as I heard; don´t know if it is true). Therefore the backlog in that period increased.

few weeks may be between 2----8 weeks, that´s what I estimate. boki, are you a student in Canada?

BTW, bad news, since there is request for IELTS, there might be a couple of weeks prolong for your case.

I think request for IELTS has nothing to do with case being delayed in our particular "group" (AOR 1st half of March 2005). How else would you describe the fact that my file is in queue" which may mean to be assessed sooner than these 2-8 weeks (i.e. your file). I guess we will have to wait.

Me, did you get anything from CIC? IA, IELTS, e-mail reply? Do you have your CAIPS? If yes, what BF date did they put in there?
Thanks a bunch

boki

Hey there Boki. I haven´t gotten anything from the CIC yet. I´m awaiting for IA, I guess maybe from here to march. In my caips it says BF Date March 10th 2006. They didn´t request CAIPS because my partner (the principal applicant) is from the US an he speaks native english. They don´t request IELTS for the dependant applicants. We haven´t sent an email to CIC, we have sent them some updates and stuff like that, but in my E-client it only says: "We started processing your application on march 10th 2005" Eventhough we sent the application on November 29th 2004
