Subject: App transferred to consulate
Applied Buffalo Nov 2005 with Mar 2006 AOR. Just receievd letter from Buffalo that application was transferred to Detroit Consulate to complete application analysis and scehdule interview if necessay.

Is this a good sign? Looks like CIC workload is being balanced with the consulates.

Are the dates correct? Do you mean applied Nov. 2004 with March 2005 AOR?

Could be a negative sign: I haven´t heard any of March 2005 AOR applicants with their app transferred that did avoid interview. So, it could mean you are more likely to have it. what were the exact sentences used? did you receive IA? Do you have CAIPS?
I am March 2005 AOR as well.

Regards.

No IA or CAIPS. But as I see it, if app was blatantly not qualifying, it wouldn´t have been transfered with the efforts associated to do that. I think many others here have also had their apps transferred to consulates with ultimately successful results.

Richard you are right
its just likely that you will be called for an interview which might delay the process a bit but not to worry just get your documents straight and you should be fine.

Yes, thanks Anon, I think your assessment is correct. My AOR is exactly Mar 11 2005.

I have Mar 10 2005, yet no IA. All I received was "your app is in queue for initial assesment". IELTS was requested and submitted with all high band scores. Myabe you will be called for interview. Did you write/send IELTS, if required/requested?

Hi Richard...in Buffalo, that is the normal process for applicants whose interview was not waived...the files will be transferred from Buffalo to the consulate who schedules the selection interview...usually depends on where you live (I think)...Only security interviews are being held in Buffalo.

This is nothing to be worried about, but anonymous is right, this will add few more months in your processing....

Technically, that is your IA...did you get the medical papers too? Don´t rush into having your medicals done...your interview date can be scheduled anywhere from 6 months to over a year...hopefully sooner for you.

good luck
