Hello every one
I had applied for Canadian Immigration while i was in USA. I just returned Pakistan for a visit few months ago and now decided not to go back to US (atleast for few years). I just got the news that my Canadian Immigration application has been processed and they need my passport to stamp the Visa.
I dont want to go to Canada right now but i do not want to waste my immigration. Please let me know what can i do?
I can think of two ways....
1) Somehow send my passport to USA, get it stamped and somehow recieve it back in Pakistan. Problem is that how will i send the passport to USA and how will i send it back?
Can Canadian Embassy in Islamabad help me in this?
2) Trasnfer my case to Pakistan. But this will mean that the case will be delayed by many years... (which is ok with me) but will it include any added cost? and what will be the procedure for this?
Please, Please answer both my queries. I want to discuss both options and choose the one best for me.

Also please let me know one more thing. My medicals were expired in Sep 2005 but they did not ask for the new medicals. Now if i send the passport for the Visa, what will be the Visa expiry date or should i say how much time i will get to land there as my medicals have already been expired.

Send it by DHL or Fedex. It is garanteed and you can track it.

Canadian Consulate, Buffalo will only mail back the passport to an address only in the US or Canada. They will not mail it back to Pakistan.
One good option is to make an address change with Buffalo and give one of your friends/family address in US or Canada.
Mail your passport to Buffalo, and request them to mail the passport to your friends/family address in US or Canada.
Your other options could be time consuming, even if they are valid options.

Send them the passports and provide them a valid address either in canada or USA.

I just went to DHL, TCS and few other courier services and no one is going to send the passport Internationally. I also got an email from baffalo that Islamabad Embassy cannot do any thing and only they can process the Visa.
It seems the only options remaining is to somehow send the passport OR transfer the case.
Will any one please give me some details about the case transfer? how to do it? risks involved? costs involved? time involved?

Its really strange, what if one has no relative or reliable friend in canada or U.S how they gonna deal this sort of situataion.
I suggest you sanam to directly contact Buffalo consulate and let them know that you are in pakistan may be they send back your passport to you.
There are other courier services as well like UPS, they may have some other policy.
Please share your experience regarding the reply of Buffalo

Sanam,
Let me tell you one thing that your visa will not be valid forever. You already mentioned that your medicals have already been expired. It is my guess that the validity of your visa will be very short. And according to the rule you have to land before your visa expires. Your circumstances suggest that you?re not ready to move at this stage. Unfortunately if that is the case you will lose your PR status, and you have to apply all over again may be form Pakistan which is gonna take very long time. I am not sure but as far as I know, even If somehow you managed to send your passport, CHC is not gonna send it to Pakistan. Therefore in that case as someone already mentioned ask some of your relative/friend in the US to collect your passport.
If I were you I would have travelled for couple of weeks first to USA to get my visa stamped and then Canada to land as a PR.
Think about it; don?t waste this opportunity.

can you please guide me that is this the case with other CIC offices as well, because sanam´s question made me to think about my problem,
I have applied through CIC london and waiting for PPR, Im no more residning in U.A.E I have applied thorugh London, now Im in canada on studen visa.
Im wondering will the same situation I face? will cic send bck passport to me to Canada after stamp or I have to travel all the way to UAE or London to get the passport stamped?

It is illegal to send passport internationally. I left two options 1: Visit USA again get visa and give entry in Canada and go back 2: Transfer you file to Islamabad office.

According to my knowledge in canadian law it is legal to send passport internationally. So I guess you will be fine. What I have understand after reading various posts in this forum that you can send your passport to CHC london for stamping by post with return enevelop, they will send it back with visa. You dont need to travel to london for visa stamping. However if they call you for interview you have travel to london.
