I had mine done in winnipeg, Manitoba as it was closer for me to travel even tho I live in Ontario. There were 4 places in winnipeg I called, and each place was the same amount or within $10 of each other. I paid $202.
be sure to have cash, as that is all the doctors and labs will take. also make sure you get receipts, as you will copy these and include them with your application as proof that the medical was taken.

much cheaper than england, I paid ?180 which is ~$380

I did my medical in Toronto, ON on Dec 30th, 2005. Here is the cost breakdown:
$125 for the Doc
$35 for the X-Ray
$20 for blood work
Total $180.00 CND
