HI THERE, I am new to this forum. have read couple of threads. sounds this forum is very helping. after one year of my application they sent in a document which says u have to take either celpip-g or ielts. i was willing to take celpip-g is there anyboby taking this english exam.
would somebody guide me for the study material which is available online ?
cuz i dont want to buy the material.
also if somebody guides me how to study for that i will be really thankful.

thanks alot for such a rapid and good response. so is that the reason why everybody is more inclined towards ielts instead of celpip-g. as on behalf of just one experience we cannot conclude things.
does anybody know any other thing about celpip-g. good or bad.

Hi CELPIP
I don´t recommend taking this test. When you look at the online samples, it seems easier then IELTS. That´s why I decided to take it instead of IELTS last year. I could only get 4/16 of points for immigration purpose. One week after getting my results, I took IELTS and got 12/16 points. I agree that results may vary from one person to another but for me the difference was significant.

thx alot for this info but dude i have registered for celpip-g online today as i was in a rush and as u have written celpip seemed to be simpler on website. its monday morning, is that possible that i cancel it and they would give me full refund instead of 50%

please read requirements from CIC. IELTS is the recognized test, not CELPIP.

Anonymus, could you please explain why you think there was such a huge difference in the points you received for CELPIP and for IELTS?
I just did the CELPIP last weekend, and I found the Speaking part the hardest one, Listening the easiest.
Please, I would appreciate your answer because I am slightly panicking about it all. I can´t really afford to retake the exam the way you did.

Hi, I´m also new to to this site.
Are you still looking for the study material?
I have CELPIP study guide to sell.
I have taken CELPIP last month and I found out it was easier than IELTS, especially the listening.
I also found out that speaking was the hardest.
I agree that the result may vary a person to person.
I strongly reccomend you to practice speaking part according to the material or website material because they are very similar to actual test.
For writing part, I was running out of writing themes, so I made situations up and practiced. and it actually helped.
So I hope you do your best!
