Subject: INTENT
I have a student visa until Sept. 2007, I also have a Work visa until sept 2007. I also have a travel Visa to canda (entry visa). I am in canada studying and working right now.

I have applied for permanent residence status and my application is in progress.

CAN I LEAVE THE COUNTRY AND COME BACK? OR WILL THEY STOP ME AT THE PORT OF ENTRY BECAUSE OF DUAL INTENT?

**.78.114.237,

If u have multiple visa u can go and come back. I have done that couple of times while in the situation like u. Only the thing is, according to my knowledge, u cant leave country within atleast 30 days before expiring ur Immigration docs.

Make sure u carry all the necessary docs. U wont be in trouble for sure.

so it won´t matter that I have applied to PR(intent to stay) and I am coming back in the country on a visitor visa (intent to travel, and not stay)?

Thanks so much for your help.

hey Sandeep, when you were going back and forth was your PR application in the process?

thanks so much you guys!

My PR application is in process from last 15 months and I have left the country for two times (each time 2 months) and come back. It does not matter to authority unless you behave improper or illegal.

Well... applying for visitor visa while having intention of staying itself is illegal, because visitor visa is a non-immigrant visa. So what do you say about this

Jowsietexan,

When you have study / work permit or both at a time, u get a visa (which is usually visitor´s type) matching expiry date with ur either of the permits (most recent one).
For instance, if u have study / work permit of 2 yrs, u will get 2 yrs visitor´s visa. So u can travel internationally until it expires.

I hope this is understood.
