| Subject: AOR received in 2 weeks... |

Hi,
I submitted my app on 10th Jan, 2006 and Got File# (which i assume is AOR)26th Jan, 2006. The processing begin date is Jan 20th 2006 according to the mail. Is this normal? The one i got is actually AOR?
Does AOR mean that all the documentation is right?
I saw from other postings in this forum that people usually get AOR in two to three months. What´s up with mine?
Also after this what are my next steps and how long do I have to wait before I get my IA and medicals?

I wouldn´t worry about it! I got my AOR within 2 weeks as well. I think that at the beginning of the year (Jan or Feb) the reply is pretty quick compared to the mid year and end of year applications process!

well the normal time to get ur aor is not 2 or 4 months but it is between 4 weeks normally...yeah u r a bit lucky u got it in2 weeks....and now u can wait for another 7 to 8 months to get ur IA.....in case u r given interview waiver...then u recvmedicals....u r in the first stage...keep cool

yeah
same ehre got my AOR in a short time ....
but u did not mentiong waht was in the letter along with the start of processing date ..
usuall they give a time fir the IA like 52 weeks or 36 weeks !!
so u can sit and wait till the end of that time ..

Welcome to the club pal..
unfortunately these guys are right..quick AOR doesn´t mean shit. The last year has been very slow for everyone..however things could improve for you your batch.

Thanks folks for putting out your experiences there. It doesnt´ say anything about how many weeks like 52 weeks or 36 weeks.
It says you have to wait until we assess your application further and communicate with you about medical and interview.
What are the chances of having interview? and what will be asked at the interview in case if I will have one.

It is hard to predict. If your application is straightforward and everything goes fine with your background check then there is a chance of getting an interview waiver. Sometimes submitting IELTS score also helps if you are not a native speaker.
They can ask anything they want. The might ask why did you post this topic here wihout their permission. so watch out lol.
