  Hi there,

My name is Akash, I have messed up my credit history.
I want to apply for immigration and leave the country.
Will my immigration application will be denied because of my bad credit history?

Please let me know as early as possible.

It is not as simple as a NO.

If the intent was not to pay it is not a No. If the bad history happened because of circumstance beyond control i.e. loss of job etc then it may be a NO; otherwise it may not be a NO.

It also depends on several other factors; like are you on a payment plan to payoff the loans etc.

It does depend on anything! The don´t do a credit check on you at all! Bad debt is not a criminal offence

Well companies or bank can file a case of fraud if they want to recover their dues.

Banks and companies don´t file for fraud. They go to small claims court and ask judge´s permission to obtain garnishee on wages or properties. This is an act of civil litigation which s never reported to central criminal record check.Simply because it is not a criminal offence.

Companies and banks can file fraudulent lawsuit,if someone fradulently obtains their products. This can be anyway. If one can´t pay bills, than this is not a fraud. It simply damages credit rating, which will make it difficult for one to obtain any credit.Banks have the authority to write with remarks as bad debt write off. This is implicating derogatory in credit history.

SO Ash your notion is dismissive at its best.

[**.231.113.186]Anonymous is absolutly right. Credit history has nothing to do with immigration application. They dont check your credit ratings at all.

I agree with Steve...it is a FACT that credit history has nothing to do with immigration so please move on to a different topic.

Re-enter USA with bad credit score (in reply to: Regarding credit history and immigration)
I used to stayed in USA for 5 years with bad bad credit score. Then I left USA. Now I will need to reenter USA. Will I be denied from getting Visa? Will the immigation refuse my entry into USA? Will they arrest me?
