Subject: What to do After Rejected

Hi to all

I have attended my immg interview on jan 18th of this month. I had applied on my graduation basis. i mentioned my occupation as a SOFTWARE ENGINEER.During the interview the officer is not satisfied with my job experience security check. During the mean time i am doing my MASTERS IN COMUTER APPLICATIONS in Open University IGNOU and in december 2005 i had finished my course and not yet received the certificate so and i did not mentioned this during the interview.

My application was rejected stating that i did not meet the job requirements and i got a letter from the officer today.

Friends i have some doubts

i got 9 points less for my immigration according to old rules. i am applying on my own with some information from my relatives i think that i did not applied correctly with proper qualification thats why i lost my immigartion .

What to do now ?
Can i update my qualification now ?
Will the officer take this in to account ?
Can i apply again after gaining my education certificate and experience ?
Is there any rule that once rejected can not apply once again ?
Whether if i apply again it counts as a fresh application ?

You can´t "update" your previous application, but you can start afresh and file a new one. Why not get your qualifications assessed (see wes.org/ca), so you can be sure of your points here? You can send this assessment with your application.

How many points did you actually score? What do you mean by ´according to the old system´? Did you apply when the old point system was active? You must have a minimum of 1 year work experience, regardless of how much education you have.

"During the interview the officer is not satisfied with my job experience security check."
What does that mean? What kind of security check will they do?

Can anyone shed some light ?

Thanks,
Mamtha

Job experience checks and Security checks are part of the background check. They are 2 different checks, "cskr" Iam sure got confused about it.

1) Looking into your claimed job experience
2) Security clearance/Crimminal background check

When they suspect your educational qualifications and experience etc. they usually call you for an interview to clarify it.
